Hack/Enhance(/Hack?) first playtest version
This is the first version of Hack/Enhance(/Hack? maybe? we're still unsure what the title is) we ran at Dreamation 2019. It was a great playtest we got lots of valuable feedback. Like the game is a little long, and needs a bit more workshopping.
Specifically I think we want to add a framing scene where the existing hackers get introduced to the awesome new interface, to help keep the frustration directed externally. Nicole's game is awesome and everyone had fun with it, but there's always a bit of frustration with voice interface and we want that frustration to be a fun part of the game not like a thing that gets turned inward making the players feel bad about their characters.
Also we observed/heard that there should be more transparency around activation phrases. Maybe put them on stickynotes on the wall or on a whiteboard or something.
Also probably don't need a non-playing facilitator.
Anyway if you play it let us know how it goes! If you wanna wait for the next edition we'll be uploading before Big Bad Con where we're scheduled to run it.
